Abstract

The researches of foreign and domestic scientists engaged in the modification of wood of various breeds and varieties (improvement of physical and mechanical properties) during the last decades have been analyzed. The paper deals with the analysis of the influence of ultrasound on the process of mass transfer of composite liquids to the body of solid and glued wood to accelerate the modification. The method of experimental research of the work of dry solid and glued wood of various breeds and wood modified with polymer composition "Silor" under the action of longitudinal compression has been developed. The design of experimental samples of prisms from a single, glued wood of constructive dimensions and features of placing of devices on them is shown. The features of test specimens manufacturing, in particular drying and modification processes, are presented. The process of modification of solid and laminated wood by ultrasound stimulation is described. To achieve maximum results (maximum filling with a polymer composition of the wood structure), the frequency of ultrasound varies. Also, the conditions of the external environment in which wood (moisture, temperature) will be investigated are characterized. The tasks for research of load-carrying capacity and determination of physical and mechanical properties of modified wood with a polymer composite "SILOR" mass transfer stimulation by ultrasound and their economic efficiency are set.
