THE MODERN FACILITIES FOR FOOD INDUSTRY WASTEWATER TREATMENT IMPLEMENTATION

Abstract

The article presents examples of the implementation of modern edifices, what were designed in the sectoral wastewater treatment plant laboratory at the food industry enterprises. Using of settling-flotation tanks is provided to remove suspended solids and fats from wastewater. Biological treatment of wastewater, nitrification and denitrification take place in aerotanks-settlers of increased hydraulic height with superficial jet aeration. Final stage of wastewater treatment is held in filters with floating filling of expanded polystyrene. Metal wastewater treatment edifices supposed to be mounted above ground level. They are produced in the rolls shape at metalworking enterprises, transported by rail and auto transport and mounted directly on the site of wastewater treatment plant. To accelerate designing stage it has been developed a series of settling-flotation tanks with diameters of 2,4, 4,0, 6,0 and 7,2 m, and capacity from 5 to 150 m3/h. For quantities of treated wastewater up to 500 m3/day it was designed combined treatment plants by factory production, in which settling-flotation tank is combined with aerotank of the first stage, and aerotank-settler of the second stage with expanded polystyrene filter. For small food enterprises, when quantity of treated wastewater does not exceed 100 m3/day, compact wastewater treatment plants can be used, in which settling-flotation tank, aerotank-settler and filters with floating filling of final stage are arranged in one edifice. In 2017, during the construction of aerotank-settler with diameter of 14 m at dairy processing enterprise, construction of cylindrical metal tank was carried out in a way of welding pre-rolled metal sheets covered with anticorrosive layer directly on the site of wastewater treatment plant. Welding of metal sheets was held by using welding plant AGW-2 «Lincoln Electric» (USA) for double-sided welding of horizontal joints. Vertical joints were welded with using an automatic machine ADD-303.
