Abstract

The paper compares the results of experimental studies of the temperature distribution in a two-component multilayered periodic structure with the results obtained by the tolerance modelling procedure. The object of analysis is a periodic structure which occupies the region and is made of six layers, where each layer is composed of two materials (OSB and styrofoam). Temperature distribution was determined within the framework of two-dimensional stationary heat conduction problem. The experimental data e.a values of temperature on interfaces were received in climatic chamber. The theoretical temperature distribution was obtained within the framework of the tolerance modelling – asymptotic variant. The aim of the paper was to validate of theoretical model equations and  to check if the model is sufficient for engineering purposes. Based on the analysis of the results, a good correspondence between the model and the experiment was found.
