INSPECTION OF DAM TECHNICAL CONDITION OF THE MYHIIVSKA HPP ON THE SOUTHER BUH RIVER

Abstract

The results of the dam technical condition of the Myhiivska HPP on the Souther Buh river are given. The main demands of water users to operating regimes of Myhiivskyy hydroelectric complex are maintenance of hydrological river regime close to natural and guarantee the passing of minimum flows with value to ecological flows during low-flow period of dry year. The hydropower plant does not influence on daily and seasonal flow regulation of the river. Coming flows pass through hydroelectric complex transitionally. The r. Southern Buh downstream hydroelectric complex is used for water supply of habitancy (including drinking water), industry and agriculture, moreover for local shipping, recreation and amateur fishing. The defects and damages that arose during the operation and the reasons of their occurrence were determined. The inspection of the object was carried out in order to determine the actual technical condition of the dam in general and to provide recommendations for elimination of identified imperfections (defects, damages, physical deterioration) for safe further operating. To achieve the goal, the following tasks were set: preparatory work, visual inspection, instrumental inspection. A diving inspection of the dam that adjoins a hydropower plant was carried out on the upper water and tail water in relation to the river current. The strength of the concrete rubblework solution was fulfilled by the shock pulse method which relates to unbreakable methods of strength control.
