Abstract

Thearticlepresentstheresultsofexperimentalstudiesofthefiltrationpropertiesofclaysoilbyfixingthemwithmineralbinder.

Theinfluenceofmineralbindersonthefiltrationpropertiesofclaysoilshasbeenexperimentallyinvestigatedandestablished. Thereis a significantdifferencebetweenthefiltrationcoefficientofloosesoilsandthosefixedwithmineralbinder.

Improvement of these soils’thewaterresistancerequires a seriesofsequentialtechnologicaloperations, includinggrindingclaysoil, mixingitwithbinders, moisteningtooptimummoistureandcompactiontothemaximumdensityofthemixture, whichprovidesoptimaleffectonthesoilbindersandgivesithighhydrogencontent. notonlyinthedrybutalsointhe water-saturatedstate.

Improvingthewaterresistanceofthesesoilswillallowthemtobeusedas anti-filtrationmaterials, protectivescreens, structurallayersofpavement, etc.
