Abstract

At present, as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the question of the existence and proper functioning of bomb shelters for public buildings and structures - educational institutions, medical institutions, etc. has become acute. This also applies to apartment buildings and individual buildings.

Specialists of the research construction laboratory of LNTU conducted a technical inspection of the civil defense shelter of the Main Building of the Volyn Regional Children's Clinical Hospital, located in Lutsk.

This paper describes the main results of the technical inspection of the civil defense shelter. In particular, there are photofixations and a list of major defects, recommendations for eliminating the identified shortcomings (defects and damage), physical and mechanical characteristics of the concrete slab of the existing shelter, which are determined by non-destructive method using Schmidt sclerometer AT241 / E class N Italy. In total, the research program provided for the study of 39 characteristic points to determine the strength of concrete monolithic shelter.

The standard strength of concrete at the selection points averages 473.28 kgf/cm2. Concrete corresponds to class C 30/35 (B 35; brand M450) in accordance with the requirements of DSTU B B.2.7-43-96. The condition of the shelter structures is satisfactory. However, the shelter itself is in an abandoned state. The ventilation system does not work, fungus and dampness are spread all over the shelter, and the bomb shelter is soaked with surface water. Therefore, it is necessary to follow the recommendations given in Table 2., and bring the shelter in proper condition for operation.
