RESEARCH AND STRENGTHENING OF REINFORCED CONCRETE SLABS OF IVANO-FRANKIVSK FURNITURE FACTORY

Abstract

This paper presents the results of inspections and studies of reinforced concrete slabs of a longterm exploitation building. An analysis of recent studies and publications is provided. General information and design solutions of the surveyed longtermexploitation structure are presented. Experimental investigation srevealed a number of defects in two slabs of the cooling room of the drying workshop. In particular, increased temperature and humidity contributed to the corrosion of reinforcement and carbonation of concrete. The reinforcement of the two panels was completely corroded and exposed. In addition, the appearance of normal cracks was detected in these panels. It was noted that beneath the layer of mold, there may be micro and macro cracks in other panels.The results of experimental research and proposals for restoring the operational properties of the slabs in the cooling room of the Ivano-Frankivsk Furniture Factory are also presented. The calculation of the beam for strengthening the slabs, the thermal calculation of the covering over the drying workshop, and the thermal indicators of the building materials of the covering are provided. The thermal inertia, heat resistance of the covering, and condensation of moisture on the inner surface of the roof were also determined. The calculation of structure for strengthening the slabs of the cooling room of the drying work shop is presented. Based on the calculations and analysis of the experimental surveys, recommendations and technology for strengthening the slabs are formulated. The scientific novelty and practical significance, in particular, the extension of the service life of the drying workshop building, are noted. Practical conclusions regarding the restoration of the load-bearing capacity of the roof of the drying workshop are formulated.
