The article is devoted to the method of determining the width of the opening of cracks and deflections in the light of new standards, taking into account changes in the physical and mechanical characteristics of concrete under the action of low-cycle alternating loads. It was found that low-cycle alternating loads significantly affect the change of the parameters of the stress-strain state, namely, increase the width of the opening, cracks and deflections of the beam. Theoretical solutions satisfactorily coincide with the experimental data, taking into account the relevant coefficients of working conditions, which are determined statistically. This indicates that the performed experimental-theoretical studies and analysis of the work of continuous reinforced concrete beams confirm the acceptability of improving the method proposed by the rules for determining the deflections and the width of the cracks, taking into account these loads.
