Abstract

The wide use of capacitive constructions in various industries is considered. The historical aspects of the development of silo structures are introduced. The history of occurrence of structures of spiral-fold silos is considered. The design of steel spiral-fold silos. The set of equipment for the construction of the housing of the spiral-fold silos is given. The step-by-step process of formation of the folding lock and features of process of installation of the body are described. The design of the spiral-fold silo has been shown. The advantages and disadvantages of spiral-fold silos are determined. The experience of operation of spiral-fold silos on the example of Botievsky elevator is described. Technical characteristics of spiral-fold silos located on the territory of Botievsky elevator are given. The diameter and height of silos, wall thickness are described. Silo ribs, features of their height and location are considered. The design features of the roof and fastening of the transport gallery to the silo walls are described. The stages of modernization of the silage unloading system are described. The peculiarities of each stage and the consequences they led to are considered. Photos of consequences after the accident with the unloading system are given. The main causes of accidents of silo structures are given. Examples of accidents due to improper operation of silos are described.
