Abstract

Reinforcedconcretebendingelementsofthe T-profilearewidelyusedinbuildingsandstructures. Inconnectionwiththeintroductionofnewbuildingcodesthereis a needtodevelopmodernmethodsforcalculatingsuchelementsbasedonthedeformationmodel.Thedevelopersofcurrentregulationsproposedtocalculatethebendingelementsbasedonthedeformationmodelusing a completeorsimplifieddiagramofconcretedeformation. Thetaskistocalculatethe cross-sectionalareaof​​thelongitudinalworkingreinforcementintheelementof T-sectionaccordingtothenewstandardsandtocomparetheresultsofthecalculationwiththoseobtainedunderthepreviousnormativedocument.Todeterminethepositionoftheneutralline, wefindthebearingcapacityofthecrosssectionoftheelement, providedthattheneutrallinepassesattheboundaryoftheshelfandthewall (edge) ofthecrosssectionofthe T-shapedelement. Thebearingcapacityisdefinedasthesumofthemomentsofinternalforcesinthecompressedshelfandstretchedreinforcement, relativetotheneutralline.Bythemethodofsuccessiveapproximationswefindthevalueoftheheightofthecompressedzoneofconcrete, atwhichtheratioofthemomentfromtheinternalforcesincrosssectiontothebendingmomentfromtheexternaldesignloadwillbeascloseaspossibletounity.Theobtainedresultsofcalculationsandthemagnitudeofthediscrepancywiththeresultsoftherepealednormsindicatetheacceptabilityofbothmethods, theadvantageoftheabolishedmethod - greatersimplicity, especiallywhenusingmanualcalculations, theadvantageofthenewmethod - versatilityineliminatingempiricalutensiltechnology.
