The article emphasises that energy certification of buildings in Ukraine is becoming particularly important, since the international commitments undertaken by the government to reduce energy consumption and, accordingly, reduce carbon emissions require a number of measures to be taken. It is emphasised that the Government of Ukraine has already taken the first steps to ensure energy efficiency in the construction sector, namely, the formation of the relevant regulatory framework, which has certainly had a positive impact on decision-making on reducing energy consumption and improving energy efficiency of buildings. It is emphasised that, unfortunately, the expected results have not yet been achieved, as evidenced by the low percentage of energy consumption certification. The author substantiates, based on the experience of leading companies in the field of energy certification of buildings and the successful practice of Ukrainian condominiums, the need for the Ukrainian government to take measures aimed at stimulating energy certification of buildings and their transition to energy saving, training of relevant specialists, and monitoring of energy efficiency of buildings (both at the level of territorial communities and at the national level) with mandatory publication of its results through the relevant E-platforms. It is proved that the implementation of the submitted proposals in the complex will accelerate the scaling up of energy efficiency certification of buildings, their construction and reconstruction on the principle of "Building Back Better".
